Board Member Resigns

Susie Rodriguez Susie Rodriguez, our Treasurer and Board member since August 2006, resigned her post early effective January 6, 2008, due to a job opportunity in Chicago. We will miss her very much.

Susie attended all three years of our ministry training program and during that time also led a group for women recovering from sexual abuse. She made herself available for ministry events, and has always been a compassionate voice for the disadvantaged, volunteering for various church events as well.

When we originally asked Susie if she would be willing to take a Board position, she prayed about it and very thoughtfully accepted. During her tenure, she poured herself into her work, not only keeping meticulous financial records, but also volunteering for many events as they arose. We deeply appreciate her hard work at our 2007 Passover Seder, the many hours she poured into paperwork and her help as we renovated the new office suite.

We are sad to see her go, and we pray that the Lord will continue to guide her steps as she embarks on a new aspect of her life in Chicago. Any transition can be difficult, so please pray for her as she travels back East and settles in a new home. We are sure that she will be a blessing wherever the Lord takes her.
