Bob PeersBob Peers
Founder

Having ministered since 1980 to individuals who needed counseling, deliverance and healing prayer, Bob Peers, our Founder and Director of Ministry Development, taught both during the first and second year of the Ministry Training Program. Bob assisted students as they found their own unique purpose whether in the church or out in the community. As well as having written the entire curriculum for the second year of Ministry Training, he led the Monday Night Healing Prayer Group for over twenty years, taught, counseled and developed multi-media presentations to coincide with class teachings.

Bob passed away suddenly February 2005. Having devoted his life to the disadvantaged and being instrumental in drawing others closer to God, he is survived by a multitude of grateful people whose lives have been forever changed in extraordinary ways.

She has been happily married for twenty-two years to Steve Sprague and they have two sons, Andrew and Jonathan. Maya is a home schooling mom and is also caregiver to her father in her home since 1998 after he suffered a massive stroke. Due to Maya’s Jewish ancestry and lifelong interest in the roots of her Christian faith, her family observes Shabbat, Pesach (Passover), Chanukah, and Rosh Hashanah. Her family often has guests wanting to visit for Shabbat to devour her homemade Challah. Maya enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, listening to world music and discussing deep topics with good friends over chai.

 Danielle Rowland
Intern,
Monday Night Healing Prayer

Enrolling in the Foundation and Transformation Class in 2001, Danielle found Small Beginnings played an integral role in her journey out of a severe and lengthy depression. The ministry has since provided a context in which she can “comfort others with the comfort she herself has received from God” as an intern with the Monday Night Healing Prayer group. Since first connecting with Small Beginnings, Danielle married her biking buddy, Dan, in 2005, attended graduate school at the UW Information School for two years, and now works as a Reference and Instruction Librarian at the UW Bothell/Cascadia Community College Library. In her spare time, Dani reads, bikes, tidies, weeds her too-large yard, watches birds, and passionately enjoys a good nap.
